Well i decided to venture out Saturday morning to a local spot of mine to photograph some Deer at sunrise and hopefully mist.

I made sure i got there before sunrise which was 7:15am so I arrived around 6:30am so i could get into location while still dark. (And cold!)

All kitted out in real oak forest camouflage clothing. and sporting some new equipment to try out in the field.

The first items were a Think Tank Photo “Steroid Belt” with a “Spider Holster Pro” attached Courtesy of Mark Stothard, UKPhotoDistro, ThinkTankPhoto & Spider Holster.

The Second item was a set of Aputure “Trigmaster Plus 2.4g” Triggers.

My thoughts of the Steroid belt and Spider Holster are extremely good and get better every time I use them. I can’t emphasise enough how well the Steroid belt distribute the weight of your camera and lens even on long walks tracking deer’s. Previously long days meant back ache and discomfort. Now nothing, absolute comfort and freeness to move around. And the spider holster keeps your precious camera and lens nice and secure by your side.

Now going on to the Aputure Trigmaster plus 2.4g I will right a more detailed review about these later as these have multiple uses. But at the weekend they were used as a wireless trigger for my camera. Superb performance!. Aputure state 100 metres working distance. But I can safely say in good conditions. they will operate allot further. But needless to say i was getting shot after shot of wireless shooting. This meant no handshake due to using my trusty old Benbo tripod.

Both bits of kit I would highly recommend to any Photographer.

Now for a few photos from my shoot.

10 days ago I was very fortunate enough to win one of Mark Stothard’s online Competitions. The prise was a Spider Holster Pro and a ThinkTank Photo steroid belt.

So its been 10 days since receiving the Spider Holster Pro and thinkTANK photo Steroid belt.

How have I got on with it and what do I think of it.

I love it, 1 of the best photographic accessory combo’s out on the market today. And so versatile and adaptable. ThinkTank Photo make many ad dons for their belts. (pouches, straps, bags) and spider holster do a dual camera setup!

One of the first and most important things I noticed was how well it distributes the camera and lens weight around your waist. In the photos above, it is holding my Canon 5d & 70-200mm F4L. But it can even carry my 1d mkII with my 400mm f5.6L quite comfortably.

The second thing I was pleased about is how easy it is to switch to and from your second camera. It’s lightning fast and super secure. You know your expensive equipment is safe and secure on your hip.

A fantastick bit of kit that I would and have recommend it to any Enthusiastic – Pro Photographer.

I love it so much I’m looking into upgrading it by attaching a second spider holster pro to the thinkTANK photo Steriod belt

I’m very greatful to have won this superb bit of kit.

Thank you @markstothard, @ukphotodistro, @thinkTANKphoto & @Spiderholster.

Well this morning I was rudely woken by my alarm at 04:00am.

Once my car was loaded I took a drive to one of my new favourite locations.
My arrival was well timed, just before sunrise.

No matter how well you plan a trip or how hopeful you are about the trip. Your fait is in the laps of the goods..

This trip didn’t quiet go to plan due to thick morning cloud in the east. Sunrise is also from the east…

Meaning the wonderful golden morning sun light was quiet delayed.

But i find patience tends to pay off.

Again the weather was lovely bright warm sunshine and this time I remembered the sun cream!!!!

For a farmers field Swingfield is a well organised track, Officials worked tirelessly to run 30 races in just one day.

There was one quiet serious accident but was handled pretty well and was just a racing incident. no fault to be held with anyone.. hope Ed Hill recovers soon.

Defiantly worth going again.. Great racing and Great photo oppotunitys

Saturday I took a trip down to Headcorn Aerodrome with my fiancée for a family day out with my cameras of cause, and met my brother (Jon) and his family.

The weather forcast was looking a bit drab but had potential to clear up. It was still pretty overcast when we left in the morning but within an hour the sun was shining.

It was a great day out albeit a long day in the hot hot sun…. yes I forgot to take any sun cream as usual. but it was made up by all the wonderful Military vehicles on display and the Aircraft being flown above. Including my favourite the Lancaster Bomber (Phantom of the Ruhr)

I was invited to tag along to an early morning Photography trip by my brother (Jon) meeting 5:30 before an 8 hour shift in the office.

How could I refuse when I was told the subject for the day would be Deer’s, and it would also be a good test for my new Canon 400mm F5.6L lens

I set my alarm for 4:30 and sorted all my equipment out. and arrived at the destination at 5:30, to find Jon already there and eagerly waiting. There was enough light in the air to see but sunrise hadn’t officially happend.

When we entered the location we found that there was a heavy mist around and the light would be a constant changing element.

We had a pretty successfully morning with plenty deer encounters. We plan to go back there in the not to distant future.

Main rehearsal went smoothly and Rev. Mike Resch seems to be a great vicar.

St Bartholomew’s church in bobbing is a lovely little church with loads of character.

I’ve got final preparations to make over next few days. Battery checks sensor cleaning etc before the big day this Saturday.

Fingers crossed the weather will be favourable to us and stay bright and dry.

While away from shooting I’m thinking more about accreditations and next years Faversham & District Camera Club season.

Also I’ve been thinking up some new little projects to work on.

Right I’m going to sign off for now. Might be back online ivermectin next few days from sunny magaluf.
